Sy’s Pizza sits in its original location since it was founded in 1978. Sy Zeer came from New York over 40 years ago to start the local business and introduce single slice pizza to Eugene. Our pizza is the closest thing you will get to the East Coast in all of Eugene. With barstool seating and old photos of New York lining the walls, this no-nonsense joint looks just like the iconic shops along the East Coast.
Sy’s Pizza, in Eugene, Oregon, keeps the New York style feel that was started by creator, Sy Zeer. The ownership changed in 2006, when Sy retired to Florida and passed the business on to Mark Fischer, but the New York feeling has stayed the same. Sy Zeer, the original owner, personally taught Fischer everything he needed to know before passing the business on.

After 13 great years, Mark decided it was time for him to follow Sy into retirement and the ownership again changed hands in 2019 in the depths of the corona virus pandemic. As the new owners, it is our greatest wish to continue the dream created by Sy all those years ago and provide Eugene with the best slice of New York Pizza in town. We hope you’ll join us in continuing this long tradition. Come on in and have a slice!

We’ll serve you the BEST pizza in Eugene, using the finest spices in our tomato sauce, unbleached flour, and our 100% fresh shredded mozzarella cheese. Our pizza dough is made fresh daily, gently tossed by hand and lovingly baked in our antique brick oven.
